Marc Hoffman

Marc Hoffman holds a degree in composition from the North Carolina School of the Arts, and did additional study in film scoring at USC in Los Angeles. Prior to attending NCSA he studied voice and piano at Pfeiffer University. He received a scholarship through the NC School of the Arts Foundation to spend a summer studying at The Dartington International Summer School of Music in Devon, England. For the past 14 years Hoffman has performed more than 75 dates a year including concerts, festivals, corporate functions, private engagements, clubs and church services. He appears as vocalist and pianist with four-piece band, piano trio, or solo. In May of 2003 Marc released the CD Dream of God, a collection of original contemporary Christian songs and new arrangements of several Christian "standards." A new instrumental piano CD , Long Way Home was released in December of 2003. Previous recordings include Virillion and Cry Out. Spending most of his professional time as a composer, Marc has written for orchestra, piano, voice, stage plays (both musicals and background music for dramas and comedies), weddings, modern dance, television and radio, and political campaigns. His music has been performed in the U.S., England and France. His choral and solo church music is published by Worship Works! Music, BMI.
